What size headboard fits a California King bed?
A Cal King mattress is 72 inches wide, so the headboard should be 76 to 80 inches wide to frame it with a few inches of overhang on each side. Height typically runs 48 to 52 inches. Because Cal King is not a standard headboard size in most stores, made to measure is usually the only way to get a proper fit.
