Only one bed size is identical in the US and Brazil: the king (76 × 80 in / 193 × 203 cm). The American queen (60 × 80 in) is 2.5 inches narrower than the Brazilian queen, the US full roughly matches the Brazilian "casal", and the California King (72 × 84 in) has no Brazilian equivalent at all. Moving between the two standards
Brazilians in Florida: sheets and headboards from Brazil only fit a US bed if it is a king. For queen, Cal King and Twin XL, the piece has to be made for the American measurement — which is exactly what our Florida atelier does, in inches, with local production.
Bought a mattress abroad, or in between sizes? Measure the mattress width before ordering any headboard. Our atelier rule: the headboard extends 2 to 4 inches past the bed on each side. Made to measure, it can follow any mattress — from a 34-inch single to a wall-to-wall statement piece.

Size questions
Is a Brazilian queen the same as an American queen?
No. The American queen is 60 × 80 inches (152.5 × 203 cm); the Brazilian queen is 158 × 198 cm (62.2 × 78 in). The Brazilian one is about 2.5 inches wider and 2 inches shorter, so sheets and headboards from one standard never fit the other perfectly.
Which bed size is identical in the US and Brazil?
Only the king. Both the Eastern King and the Brazilian king measure 76 × 80 inches (193 × 203 cm). It is the one size where mattresses, sheets and headboards are interchangeable between the two countries.
What size is a California King in cm?
A California King is 72 × 84 inches, which is 183 × 213.5 cm. It is 4 inches narrower and 4 inches longer than a standard king. There is no Brazilian equivalent — in Brazil that size only exists made to measure.
I brought a Brazilian mattress to the US. What headboard fits?
Measure the mattress width first. A Brazilian queen (62.2 in) is wider than any standard US queen headboard, so off-the-shelf rarely fits well. A made-to-measure headboard, built for the exact width, solves it — that is what our Florida atelier does.
How do I convert inches to centimeters?
Multiply by 2.54. A 60-inch-wide bed is 60 × 2.54 = 152.4 cm. To go the other way, divide centimeters by 2.54. The converter on this page does both.
